Doing cardio outdoor can be fun and exciting. There are no boundaries so you can run wild. I've never tried doing my cardio at the beach, but I can imagine how much fun that would be. You don't always have to do cardio at the gym, but that's probably the first thing that pops up in your mind when it comes to cardio. Here are some suggestions to doing cardios outdoor.
-If you have a dog, it can be a perfect running partner. Make sure you bring water for your dog because I know plenty of people that don't know or don't care. I don't know any dogs who would rather stay home than to be outside.
-Run up the hills or steps. I live in Philadelphia, PA so I have the Philadelphia Art Museum. If you watched Rocky, you've seen him run up the steps of the Art Museum. Running upwards burn more calories than running on a flat surface for the same amount of distance and time.
-Run on difficult surfaces like mud (eww...), sand, water. It is just like running upwards because it burns a lot of calories too. As an addition, this also builds up stronger legs. The harder to run, the better.
-Riding your bike. I love riding my bicycle at the park on a nice Sunday morning.
-Sports. Full-court basketball, football, soccer are all excellent cardio just to name a few. You are constantly running, and time goes by quick.
-Explore new areas in the neighborhood. Run to unfamiliar places in town. Take pictures.
-Jumping on a trampoline. I always enjoyed that when I was a kid.
The sky is the limit when it comes to doing cardio outdoor. I love running, and best of all, it's absolutely priceless. Have fun!
